John McCoy
John began flying at age 14, soloing at 16 in a C-150 and earning his license just two days before leaving for Air Force basic training where he became a crew chief on the mighty B-1B Lancer, a.k.a., The Bone. After a four year hitch in lovely Abilene, Texas, he transferred to the Air National Guard and was a crew chief on KC-135Rs. He then moved on to the administrative side of aviation, becoming the airfield manager of Sherman Army Airfield at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas (KFLV) in 2013 where he has worked ever since. He still looks up every time anything flies overhead.
