Pilots Get Rare Chance To Land At Nation’s Busiest Airports

Cessna pilot does touch and go at SFO

paChalk this one up in the once in a lifetime category. A Cessna pilot posted his video of landing at San Francisco International. If you’ve ever spotted landings from the nearby park, you’ll know that there are parallel runways known as 28L and 28R. They are usually bristling with activity. Sometimes aircraft even look like they are flying in formation as they approach the field.

When Youtuber FlyWithME approached the field, he practically had the airport to himself. If you listen closely, you can hear a Southwest 737 aircraft quickly approaching behind him. He completed the touch and go at about 50 knots and then took a left crosswind towards San Bruno before departing the area.

It is truly some unprecedented flying. And while it might be unique to be able to fly into major Class B international airports, we at Avgeekery.com are hoping that for every professional aviator’s sake that things will get back to normal sooner rather than later.
